Herein below are some interesting titbits-
1.Sri Rangam temple is approx. 155.5 acres in area.[1 acre is about 45000 sq.ft]
   Its temple tower is the highest in India i.e. 236 feet height
2.Mannargudi is 42 acres in area and the temple tower is 154 feet height.

3.Tiruvarur temple is 30 acres in area.The temple tower is 118 ft.height.
4.Tiruvannamalai is 25 acres in area.Its temple tower is 217 feet height, the second largest in India.
5.Chidambaram is 16 acres in area and its temple tower is 140 feet height [northern side]
6.Madurai is 15 acres in area and its temple tower is 170.8 feet height [south gopuram]
7.Tiruvengadu temple is 10 acres in area.
8.Rameswaram is 865 x 657 feet in area and its temple tower is 126 feet height[east]
9.Thanjavur is 800 x0657 feet in area and its temple tower is 216 feet in height 3rd largest in india.
10.Tirunelveli temple is 756 x 378 feet in area.
11.Kumbakonam kumbeswarar temple is 750 x 252 feet in area and its temple tower is 128 feet in height next to sri sarngapani temple [Temple tower is 147 feet height]

Wonder how they have built them that too with karungal. What an engineering marvel.We should be ashamed that we are not able to maintain them even.
